Brass Mesh Core Box Air Vents majorly used in cold box.They are also called as brass screen core vents,brass core air vents,Brass Wire Mesh Vents.To prevent deformation of mesh,additional support is provided in core vents.This support can be in form of reinforcement ring,external ring or pin assembled separately in core vents.

The Method to Fix Core Vents:
1.Press fit the core vent(Press Fit Installation is the most common method used all over)
Most of the core vents have either knurl or raised step slighter bigger than core vent size.This feature helps the vent to be press fitted and hold its place.
2.Fix it with the help of screw
Screw Fit Installation is also used at some places.In this method core vent is held on its place using a screw.
Core Box Vent Filter Application:
Core vents are installed to facilitate the release of gases from tooling and effectively fill the core box with sand.
Low pressure casting mold,Exhaust mold,Gravity casting mold,vacuum casting mould,EPS injection mold,other material injection molding mould.
Depending on the process involved,that is,Hot Box,Cold Box or Shell,various resins and catalysts are introduced to the sand,which results in the emission of heat & gas during the core shooting process,these core vents provide a channel for an escape to these elements and provide a smooth finish to the core.
Without proper core venting,there remains a possibility of air entrapment which can cause cavity and many other types of core defects.These core vents are necessary for even treatment of the cores with anime gas.
Core vents consist of two sections,head and walls.While fitting in the core box,the head section gets in line with the parent surface and results in an even surface with openings that are either slotted or screen depending on the type of core vent used.
